Impounded Cars For Sale Will Offer Great Deals

Impounded Cars For Sale Video

Most everybody enjoys autos.  And most people want bargains.  Kicking the tires and talking down the price, people really love getting the best price on a car.  Some of the best car deals around can be found when authorities offer impounded cars for sale.  That's known as an auction.  If you know what you're doing you can find terrific deals there..

Where do the auctions find the cars?  Police often acquire cars through taking them from criminals.  For example its the law that drug dealers' possessions are confiscated and sold.  That means a lot of cars, often very fancy cars, in the hands of the city or state who wants to sell them for a profit.  Scoff laws also generate a lot of cars.  The car is offered for sale when the fines reach a point that the owner can't pay.

Dealerships often sell or in turn auction off cars they purchase at auctions.  Auctioneers also buy cars and then sell them at their own auction.  It's no matter.  A smart buyer can get the car for a song when its up for auction.  Don't go in with your eyes closed.  As the saying goes it's “buyer beware.”

There's usually no warranty offered with these autos.  It's a case of what you see is what you get.  In other words, the car is “as is”.  The seller can even engage in puffery in most states.  When car dealers say “clean as a whistle” that's puffery.  Some key words like “clean” or “like new” are also involved.  These sound like specific descriptions or even promises of a well working auto.  But they're pretty meaningless.

The wise thing to do is go in with knowledge and expertise.  Inspect the autos thoroughly.  Bring a mechanic with you if possible.  Take advantage of the test drives most auctions offer.  Impounded cars for sale can be a bargain.  But remember that if it seems too good to be true it usually is.
